Re: Plane Spotters Corner
When I worked near Manchester Airport I used to remember the Pregnant Guppy aircraft flying in the distance taking parts from one of the UK factories to Airbus..
Now Boeing have created a monster, the Pregnant Jumbo :D http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-20399859 |
Re: Plane Spotters Corner
I think there is one remaining flying Guppy in the States but there is one curently being restored just as a museum piece at Bruntingthorpe.

Re: Plane Spotters Corner
hmm how many changes of pants was needed on those landings?
I know from past experience (long time ago thankfully) that aborted landings arent a happy place to be in a 737... |

Re: Plane Spotters Corner
Not sure if you know about this free app FlightRadar24 , pretty interesting to watch the locations real time. Also handy if you have to pick someone up form the airport I would guess :)

Re: Plane Spotters Corner
I use PlaneFinder. You point your IPhone at a plane in the sky and it gives you all the details.
