I just got off the phone to someone anyway, they kept telling me that the speeds would come automatically sometime this week and that she has no clue that other people were doing to speed upgrades on the phone.

I spoke to someone who sounded foreign (a guy) at CS just now.

He was polite and said I've been upgraded to 2MB now from 750k via Samsung STB.

Its been 3 mins since I phoned so hopefully I will get the new speed very soon.

Phew!!! I got 3mbit on Bromley STB (Ex C&W area)

Be warned, it was a nightmare though. I phoned up to switched, the first lady said: "ok, thats all done, please reboot". I hunup, rebooted, and.... nothing. Rang back.. "we have already applied the upgrade, so go to tech support"... Was on the phone to a nice lady for ages and she found out that the first lady just removed my internet. The TS managed to talk to CS and get me back onto the new 3mbit... Phew, had me worried though.

Hope I havent signed a new contract though :disturbd:

Hi, as stated in my post all it takes is a bit of pre-planning on NTL's part. I understand that they can't change everyone's STB on the first day but they could have done it earlier as to save the frustration of being told you'll have to wait. I was in touch with them over two weeks ago about the STB situation but was told they couldn't change it.
