So Chelsea unlikely to make top four. Arsenal under a lot of pressure. If we lose or draw against Norwich then Spurs and Newcastle can leapfrog us. Of course this makes the likelihood of someone losing CL in spite of top 4 greater.

Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen would be interested in a move to the Premier League according to his agent, with Tottenham being the front runners to sign the player.

After an impressive season for Ajax, who celebrated winning the Eredivisie on Wednesday night, Vertonghen has become one of Europe’s most prized assests with a whole host of English clubs.

Interest has also come from AC Milan and Barcelona for the highly-rated vice-captain, however, according to his representative Spurs have made an approach, despite manager Harry Redknapp’s insistence of the opposite.

The agent told reporters: "There is enormous interest. A number of clubs have made concrete approaches, with Tottenham among them,"

Fiorentina boss Delio Rossi has been sacked for physically attacking his own player in a spat over a substitution. Ex-Manchester United triallist Adem Ljajic sarcastically applauded Rossi's decision to replace him in Wednesday's Serie A match against Novara. Rossi then clambered into the dug-out and aimed a punch at the forward.

Re: Football Season 2011/12

The Premier League has today made available to interested parties the Invitation to Tender (ITT) for its UK Live audio visual rights spanning seasons 2013/14-2015/16.

http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/n...nt-030512.html

Quote:

The ITT describes the packages of rights the Premier League are now inviting bids for:
•Live rights to a total of 154 matches - split into seven packages.
•A Free-to-Air Highlights package - including 'catch-up' rights.

The Live rights consist of five packages of 26 matches and two packages of 12 matches. No single buyer will be allowed to acquire more than 116 matches.

This creates a more attractive and compelling offering for both broadcasters and fans; whilst allowing the continued protection of the Saturday 3pm 'closed window' and minimising further displacement of Premier League fixtures.

A separate sales process will be conducted for the other packages described in the ITT:
•Two "Near Live" long form packages each containing 226 matches; one for linear and the other for on-demand exploitation.

•An Internet-based Clips package for all 380 matches.

Both the Live and "Near Live" packages will be available for exploitation on a technology neutral basis

3-3 poor from Arsenal. We should of had 3pts from the go with Yossi scoring early on but we let Norwich back in from poor play. they get a foothold on we go, same ol'd.

Norwich had a clear pen turned down then Arsenal had a clear pen turned down at the death. dodgy hand ball could have gone our way too, so another pen.

Arsenal were poor. The ref was poor. Real crap day.

Our midfield cost us that game. A draw is as bad as a loss now and we face the very real prospect of not being in the Champions League. Very depressing. I see Newcastle dropping points but not Spurs so the best we can hope for is fourth and then Chelsea to lose the final of the CL.

So depressing to lose the lead so close to the end. I had thought we might have just done enough.

Thank god! That probably means they will kick Spurs out for losing to Norwich at home. Unless that's not how football works? We would not deserve to be in

Yup, rather stupid behaviour...just because you don't know the words

I don't understand it? There isn't much anti-national sentiment in Liverpool is there? Why would they jeer the national anthem? Is it because they went with Hodgson as manager? Bizarre.

Expect fingers to be pointed at Kenny, feel bad for him tbh, he took over and steadied the ship when the club was in complete turmoil and imo should be allowed to be moved upstairs with as much dignity possible, he deserves that at least.

Pick a young manager...can't do much worse..and you might pick a star

jurgen kloop would be my choice but my choice isn't important as long as they get the right man for the job.

Peps taking 2 years out. In 2 years Wenger contract will end and he'll move back to France. Plus Chelsea will end up having to hand the job to Roberto. Theres not many top class managers that fit the Roman mould. There all either contracted at stable clubs or the 1, Pep taking time out.

Unless he signs a new contract.

which he wont. his family want out of England and they want Wenger to go back too. then theres the National job which the French officials want filled by him. Plus the decline at Arsenal. Its all cued whether or not he turns it around.

Unless he signs a new contract. We don't know. We can only speculate.

Liverpool were poor today, we had the diving again from Drogba, and we MUST have goal-line technology.

It should have been extra time.

I dfon't think Roberto will get the job, Roman will go for an International Man.
