How do you make that out? Everyone knows that BT are under pressure from shareholders about the cost of their venture into football. BT does not have the ability to keep paying out more for their sport. Amazon, however, is a completely different ball game, if you pardon the pun, and could certainly afford to take on Sky if it had a mind to do so.

I have accepted that they may well not go for the rights this time, but as far as what Amazon executives may be saying, you never really know if they are just keeping their cards close to their chests to encourage lower bids from the opposition. |
