Don't know if this should be here or the pet hates thread, but trying to be positive I'll put it here.

Was on the wating list for my gallbladder removing. Very bad turn with my gallstones on Monday night. Ambulance to Pinderfields hospital, admitted within a couple of hours, transferred Tuesday lunchtime to Dewsbury hospital and gallbladder removed Tuesday teatime.

Feeling rough/saw today, but feel better than I have done for years - I didn't realise how ill I've felt and I'm so looking forward to being up and about again.

The only downside is the Codeine has an impact on the regularity of things so a nice bowl of bran flakes and fresh prunes for breakefast .

Cheers

Grim

Sorry to hear about your gallbladder problems and the subsequent removal of your gallbladder Grim and my advice is you will have discomfort for a little while yet especially if you had a Open cholecystectomy and not the keyhole option as l was still in pain after 4 weeks as sadly l had to have the open option but thankfully because of the removal of the GB at least l don't get those bloody painful gallstones anymore.

Get well soon Grim. :ghugs:

My mum's had hers removed, she can eat fatty food but it does cause her discomfort, she has Gaviston to help, and will take one sometime before eating fish and chips.

Cheers Guys. It was key hole luckily - the guy in the next bed had open surgery and despite going down to theatre hours earlier than me was still on the morphine pump while I was waiting for Mrs G to come and pick me up.

While I feel a bit rough, it's nothing compare to the bad attack on Monday night.

Must say I'm looking forward to a visit to the all you can eat breakfast buffet at the local Toby Carvery :D.

Cheers

My mum had keyhole, but was told they may have to open her up.

Please pass on my congratulations to Natalie dilli. Take her old bosses attitude as a mark of how good she does her job. Any petulance on his part at her leaving is a sign that he knows how much his business will miss her.

The family are really looking forward to June 17th. We're off to Minorca for two weeks all inclusive in a nice four star hotel. Four of us plus two family friends so it should be a good holiday.
