I went to bed last night just before the match and listened to it on R5 whilst reading (along with a few glasses of Jim Bean).. I fell asleep though I did hear the 5mins added time.. Woke up this morning and wasn't even sure if we'd won or not :D

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Being a Man Utd it hurt to watch us loose. I reckon title is now over. City will win it on GD

Mancini is right, Man U are my favourites as they have the 2 easier games. I can see Newcastle reacting positively after the 4-0 thrashing on the weekend!
Anyway, I thought that was the best I've seen Nasri perform in a City Shirt. He was brilliant, and would have been my candidate for man of the match. |
Re: Football Season 2011/12
Man City will win both games, you heard it here first

I don't think he is right or wrong..instead he's just not playing up and putting his team on a plateau where the only way is down... The city players are probably nervous enough atm at the thought of possibly winning the league and making them the underdogs will make them fight for it all the harder :D |

I understand that 1 den but if you look at how he played in the world cup but then nobody in the England team performed.
Now will he allow the wags to join the squad |
Re: Football Season 2011/12
It's because when....um I mean if England get eliminated before the semis and Rooney wasn't in the squad, everyone will blame Woy for not including him.

is there any dutch league followers on here?
|
Re: Football Season 2011/12
Kind of... Ajax are 6 points clear with 2 games to play, and their GD is 24 better than Feyenoord, so unless they lose the next two games 10-0, they take the title. Don't ask me about specific players though.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Yeah they have awesome setups over there :tu:
Eriksen has ruled out a move to England. He wants to stay at Ajax. Ajax tried throwing him in the Vertoghen deal to inflate the fee. |

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Verthongen is a decent lb and would work perfectly with Vermaelen they played together at Ajax and also play together in the Belgian national football team.
Regarding the Dutch league in general it is more an academy nowadays then a contender for say CL finales like it used to be in the 80's |
Re: Football Season 2011/12
The Belgian's are going to have a really good team for years to come.
|
Re: Football Season 2011/12
not too sure about that TheDaddy as they cant really work together as they have always had decent players.

If you are looking for omens regarding the title race there are some very interesting stats in my (quality :p: ) daily paper.
The last time Man City won the title in 1968 they topped the league going into the last games of the season. They where top on goal difference from Man Utd and they played away at Newcastle and won 4-3 whist United lost to Sunderland. How spooky is that. Jim. |

Newcastle are looking at him too.
Flamini will move this summer. He got his payrise at AC but playing time didn't come part of that. Tottenham will probably try sign him, I hope he rejects it. |
Re: Football Season 2011/12
Could be agents messing around, people trying to make stories etc.
|
Re: Football Season 2011/12
his agents confirmed 7mil fee has been agreed with more than one club. we're still front runners though :)
|
Re: Football Season 2011/12
With regards to the team that Liverpool fielded last night, would that be classed as a 'weakened side' - if so, will they be treated like Wolves were last season. Or has the 'weakened side' rule now been eased?

It reminds me very much of this XKCD Comic: https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/...2013/12/19.png I am all for the players we have been linked to but this pattern repeats itself every transfer window. It's amazing the amount of players we're linked too with people being sure 'the deal's almost done', 'advanced talks' and so on. Never anything to back them up, is just they are 'in the know', they have it from 'someone close to the club'. |

I'd warrant a guess those clubs were after a backup defender and he was just hanging on for a payday. Just under an Hour and a half away from the start of our biggest week of the season. Chelsea away will see if we still have a chance to play Champions League football next year, Whilst we also have our say in the title race come Sunday. |
Re: Football Season 2011/12
age caught up with him Adz, he wasn't as fast as he once was and the fact he wasnt able to reproduce his previous years of form meant he'd get caught out.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
ESPN thinking about biding for more EPL packs.
ESPN may bid for more EPL games In addition to Sky, which currently shows 115 live games per season and is determined to maintain its dominant position. The Guardian understands that Google and Apple are likely to bid, viewing themselves as platforms rather than rights owners, but that al-Jazeera is still considering its options. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2...premier-league |
