When you're nearly 70, and recently had to sort out the aftermath of an aged relative's passing, you might think differently... ;)

We don't want our kids (in their 30s now, but still our "kids") to have to go through what we did.

And, which is the main reason I bought that book, is she does it in a humorous way...

The problem with being perpetually miserable is that it becomes a recursive feedback loop.

. . and you have every right to, but I find humour - the laugh out loud sort - sadly lacking in anything produced over the last <insert number of choice> years.

. . . and don't get me started on everything, everything, now has the common trend of being over the top with morals, goodness & light, and (excuse the word) wokeness.

it's just stale regurgitated political correctness padding out a 15 minute story into a 90 minute film :dozey:

Sometimes the 'eye of the beholder' sees things that others don't see, the bits that are missing, (possibly because others have a 'mote' in their eye), in which case the beautiful thing isn't quite as beautiful . . to him ;)
