Yes.

I do not know why Virgin did not move SyFy HD to Channel 136 and keep Syfy +1 on Channel 166 I mean when Dave HD, Watch HD and Ailbi HD launch they move Dave Ja Vu, Watch +1 and Ailbi +1 to higher channels number to let the HD Channels use their old channels numbers.

I smell a SD/HD merge like Sky, :) or knowing Virgin SyFy +1 is 197 or something.

I think you're right, or they might just stick all the HD channels next to each other.

It will make a big difference to the EPG if this does happen and hopefully vm will clean up the whole epg, ie ITV3&4+1s can join their parents etc.

Then again vm might just leave things in the mess they are....Don't forget epgs and neatness was never a priority for the old cablecos.

MMMmmm - my dad is always bemoaning that he wants more channels on his VM, but when I ask him what he wants to watch he's never sure.

It's the same for a lot of posters on here - more channels for channels sake.

There are really only a handful that are worth having that we don't already have, plus the missing HD channels.

As in every single channel change? No more to be revealed?

Is it me but do you feel like it was a bit too much hype for just 3 channel moves? :sulk:

Keeping up with channel changes or additions/subtractions is obviously a hobby for some.

I would have though most TV customers took out their subscription to cover what they wanted or needed at the time. If a new series is released that is on a channel you don't have, the options depending on how eager you are to watch it are 1) upgrade TV package to include it if possible 2) change to a provider that offers it 3) wait until it gets shown on a channel you do have.

Getting a new channel with something you want to watch on it is a huge bonus but doesn't happen too often. I did make use of the free ESPN a while back to watch some UFC as well as Eden HD. Apart from those I didn't notice any other additions or hope for anymore.

Thanks for the much appreciated updates as always MB. Some good channel launches, but still not the ones I want to see. Oh well. At least it wasn't just Asian channels that launched.
