Re: [MERGED] Windows 8 discussion
There's a Godmode shortcut that lists all the settings for Win 8.
Create a new folder on the desktop and call it GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} |

Microsoft to Roll Out Windows 8.1 at 4 AM PDT (11 AM GMT)
Microsoft will release Windows 8.1 RTM in the Store today, with a new report claiming that the global rollout will begin at 4 AM PDT (11 AM GMT). According to TechCrunch, the Windows 8.1 update will be launched gradually across the world, with the Unites States to be among the first countries to get it. Windows 8.1 will be available as a free download from the Windows Store and Microsoft has already made the necessary adjustments to make sure that everyone would be able to download it via multiple updates. This morning, Windows 8.1 got lots of app improvements, as Microsoft wants all RTM machines to be running the latest versions of the built-in tools at the time when the official launch takes place. Starting tomorrow, users will also be able to purchase retail packages of Windows 8.1, with the core license to be priced at $119.99 (€90), while the Pro version will cost $199.99 (€150) http://news.softpedia.com/news/Micro...T-391925.shtml |
Re: [MERGED] Windows 8 discussion
I wonder how long the update using the store will take as i go to work at 1pm! I guess i should wait until Friday morning unless the update takes 7 mins like the upgrade from Windows 7 to 8 took?
I hope there is somewhere were we can download a legit Windows 8.1 ISO and in future install that using my original upgrade key on a clean SSD/HDD without having to upgrade from an older OS? |
