I was reading some interesting posts in a forum earlier this week from Primetime live themselves. Other posters were attacking them for keeping the PPV market alive and calling £14.99 a disgrace when Boxnation is only £10.00 per month. Primetime replied stating it's not them who set the price, it was Pacman's promoter Bob Arum. It was then suggested Bob Arum would only sell the fight to a UK broadcaster if the fight was shown on a PPV basis. If true SKY and Boxnation didn't have a chance. It should be interesting to see the viewing figures for the fight here in the UK. There seems to be a lot of heat from UK boxing fans suggesting they will boycott the event in an attempt to kill off PPV and Primetime. Must admit it's hard for Primetime to justify £14.99 for a one off event that you can't even record to your TiVo or V+ box plus it's copy protected so you can't even record the show externally if you have a DVD recorder. |

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/b...6908-23809446/ Alex Morrison is also the manager of Ricky Burns so it's not unrealistic to suggest both could be sharing a ring soon. It would be a massive fight for Glasgow. I can't remember if I've posted this already but this documentary on Scott Harrison from 2009 is a great watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bspwkaRVV4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xcYoPnihXM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkoTRUrlz7w http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzehOS2yQno |

---------- Post added at 22:43 ---------- Previous post was at 22:30 ---------- It's looking good for Andy Lee Vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. being on BoxNation this Saturday. See the below SKY TV listings for Sunday morning at 2am: http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/8...yyyyyyyyyy.jpg Premier Sports are showing Tomasz Adamek vs. Eddie Chambers live from 2am so we know they haven't picked up Lee Vs. Chavez Jr. Plus with both Lee and Bob Arum appearing on the Bunce Hour it's almost a cert! |
Re: BoxNation on Virgin Media?

Re: BoxNation on Virgin Media?
According to Boxnation, Buncey (Steve Bunce) was FTA on BoxNation tonight at 7.30pm on Sky and Virgin Media.
- Was this a one off, or is it a regular thing? - Do they really mean FTA, or is this FTV? I ask because not many channels are FTA on Virgin Media and I believe that, unlike Sky, for some reason, it is problematic for VM to keep turning encryption on and off. |

"Don't forget to check out Steve Bunce on BoxNation tonight at 7.30pm. Sky channel 456, Virgin channel 546 and free to air, so even if you don't have BoxNation you can tune in." So to answer your questions I believe you can watch the Steve Bunce show every Monday on a free to view basis. It's only the live show you can watch and not the repeat later on at night. I've yet to see a Virgin customer, who doesn't subscribe to BoxNation, post on Facebook or Twitter to suggest they couldn't access the show. |
