I've started protein shakes for breakfast and lunch, brunch then dinner with loads of veg. If I get hungry in between I have fruit. It seems to be working as oppose to heavy meals 3 times a day then burning it off. The shake feels like it's cheating the body into thinking you've had a full meal.

Allmax Isoflex
Dymatize iso 100
Allmax Casin

I use isoflex and casin together chocolate flavour, 2 servings 1 and half scoops of Isoflex and half scoop casin as a thickener.

Dymatize iso 100 mixes really well but I got cookies and cream which is sickly sweet.

I still only ride my bike up the road and back. Still not confident riding long distance or acute turns.

I lost al my weight without throwing stuff like that into my body. Had small amounts of PP but never much.

If you are hardly exercising why are you consuming that ? I personally would be eating eggs or bacon for breakfast veg chicken breast for dinner then something you like light for lunches and keeping calories as low as possible to burn the fat off quick to start with. Worked for me anyway

The calories in the protein shakes are low and they fill my stomach. 120 + 60 + 67.5 = 247.5 calories for brunch.

Thats 3 eggs and a bit of butter to scramble them in which is what I would prefer. My breakfasts are 2 eggs 100 grams of egg whites and 100 grams cooked chicken slices for 310 calories . I am maintaining now though so can eat more

each to their own though if it works for you fair play

I did the other day have 3 boiled eggs with a little salt and a bit more black ground pepper and 6 slices of lamb macon for dinner. I do venture into proper food. Just not yet because I'm not active. I'm not putting much thought into a proper diet. The minimal calorie intake will surely rid my body of some of its weight. I'm guessing when I'm down in weight I may feel more energy. That's when I'll try progress with exercise.

Mixed bag of reviews there. Foaming is an issue. Is that due to excessive shaking?

Depends what you mix it with really, I’ve never had a problem. I prefer to use water but for a few extra grams of protein I might use milk. Full-fat is most likely to cause the foaming, I only ever drink green-top and that never foams for me.

This

works out cheaper. I might go for strawberry next time I order. I want some snytha 6 edge when my current allmax and dymatize run out.

It does work out cheaper but when it comes to protein supplements, where possible you need to put quality over cost.

Not always practical I know but quality protein will always make a difference. A lot of the cheaper powders are bulked out with fillers.

Understood. I do, check the price of Allmax factoring in custom charges. Dymatize is priced the same but no custom fees because dolphin fitness stock it here in the UK.

I want to go for something different next time. I know from past encounters in the gym for basic meal replenishment snytha 6 gets a big thumbs up. I haven't tried or received any feedback regarding Applied Nutrition. I however have their water jug and shaker which I love. Here's hoping their protein is just as good.

These guys are always my next go-to after MyProtein. Pricey but really good quality. They supply various sports teams including Queens Park Rangers.

Actually I’m using that right now - mixes like a dream and no fillers. Good quality protein source.
