Small print:

Offer applies to new ntl customers (subject to credit and status checks) and ntl Broadband only customers. This offer is not available to existing ntl TV and/or Telephone customers.

I'm already a phone customer..... bummer. Might still give it a go though :)

Do, I called CS up about this as an existing customer and they offered me sports and movies 1/2 price for 6 mths, so give it a go :)

I called up and said..."ive been a customer for 5 years...could i upgrade to TU Local (2 pound per month) and got Sky sports 1,2,3 and Xtra.!

OK, this is the short version.

I called sky tech help & told them about the problems I was having, they said that being as the system was over 12 months old & not insured it would cost me £65 for an engineers visit plus whatever the cost of fixing it would be. I said thanks anyway, but could I have the phone number for cancelling my subscription, which I was given.

Then phoned ntl to see what they would offer. Couldn't have the free sky sports offer, but was offered the ntl family pack at half price for the first 6 months of a 12 month contract. Accepted this with the understanding I'd be able to cancel before the install date.

Then phoned sky to cancel, was asked why I wanted to cancel and was offered a free engineers visit & free repair/replacement to whatever needed it and all with a 3 month waranty, still retaining the right to cancel my sub after they've repaired it!

So, get sky stuff fixed for free, cancel sky sub, get ntl family pack at half price.:cool:

I assume this was the new channels thread haven't had anything in Swansea anyone got them yet? Rebooted the STB twice in case but nada so far

Well they were here, now they've gone. Must have been testing again. Big teasers ntl. They looked good anyway for an hour.
