Re: Season 2024/2025

Farteta has lavishly spent 800 odd million to get Arsenal runners up. Emery came runners up in the Europa League with beggars can't be choosers. He, Emery also set up the squad who went onto win the FA cup. I wonder daily what Emery could have done with that sort of spend.

Nobody understood Wenger when he came in but we had Peter Hill-Wood (RIP) as chairman, a no nonsense figure. Sadly nobody was there to support Emery.

Liverpool got a decent manager in Denphone. Winning was inevitable.

Man Utd took advantage of the leagues woes towards the end of Fergusons reign. A mirage.

It took Liverpool long enough to win it again and Arsenal are trying to get to that promised land

I think atm we are closer to winning the PL than Man U

Now there is a statement we would never have made 9 months ago. :)

Do the refs make up the rules as they go?

No, but they do interpret subjective rules as they see them, and in this case the view seems to be they made a mistake.

That was clear and obvious. Which is subjective?

Paul Tierney has a portfolio of bad decisions made in high profile games. I really don't understand how he is still allowed to adjudicate in the Premier league.

 what the hell happened at the Emirates tonight.

I prefer Declans second goal tbh if I was to choose out of the two.

Unbelievable scoreline.

That was world class clinical stuff. No excuses football.

Personally happy and surprised in equal measure. Word is Van Dijk is about to sign as well. Think we'll still have a big clear out over the summer.

Sky Sports had the idea both Salah and Van Dijk would be announced the same day 11 (Salah) 04 (Van Dijk) which would have been nice.

I can't help but think of Bale when Trent is linked with Real Madrid.

Given his stats are up there with any Premier League greats and that he shows no sign of deterioration, l would say its a deal that will make Liverpool fans happy.:)
