My graph isn't pretty. It doesn't affect my connection though.

Yes, mine was pretty much identical in router mode & the connection was perfect.

Indeed it did but 5ghz was not selected as standard as 2.4ghz was standard and you could have one or the other, most users i feel would not even have known that it had 5ghz as an option. Now you get both at the same time and you can connect to both if you have the right adapter. Thats why i say it will increase the use of the 5ghz band.

Hi guys

Is there any move at all towards ipv6?

I'm not expecting VM to switch over anytime soon but Six In Tunnel (SIT) would be nice.

I'm happy that the wireless has been sorted out.:D

Not all wireless equipment is 5Ghz compatible, which is probably why 2.4 was left as the default (And why nobody would dare suggest switching to 5Ghz during a support call).

Still, if everyone in the country switched over to 5Ghz tomorrow, there'd still be a significant improvement just thanks to the nature of 5Ghz alone - it has less penetration than 2.4Ghz, which sounds bad but it also means that your neighbours connections will interfere a lot less. Also things like baby monitors and microwaves, which have been known to cause interference on 2.4Ghz, should have much less of an impact.

A weird side-effect (for me, anyway) of running both at once is that you get a sort of cross-over point whereby your 2.4Ghz network and 5Ghz network's signal strength overlaps.

Although it is nice browsing nearby networks and only seeing one 5Ghz one - mine!

The last I heard, VM were investigating it but nothing solid had been released yet. I wouldn't expect anything any time soon as VM aren't running out of IP addresses for a while. If and when it does happen, I'd imagine there'll be a lot of trials first before it's rolled out nationally.

Still, it would be nice to have native IPv6.

There is something in the router settings hidden in regards to IPv6.

I don't know if that was in the SH1 though (didn't check).

Well, what do you know? A link to an ipv6 config page:D:D

Good to see

My Youtube seems to buffer fine now with the SH2.

We had this conversation before but waiting until you start to run out of ip address is too late, I wish UK companies actually could forward think once in a while but there is good news.

The government is planning to enforce isp's to rollout ipv6 in their desire to give every connected device its own ip address. The bad news of course planning and action could be many years apart so that may not be happening any time soon either.

Two out of the following three are probably correct:

1. They will provide a Superhub 2 at a charge for existing Superhub users:
2. They will supply a Superhub 2 to those wishing to re-contract for a new minimum period;
3. They will send all existing Superhub users a free Superhub 2.
