What a day for our Paralympic heroes! The positive message they're sending out to the UK and the world as a whole is quite fantastic and the fact that so many of our youth (both disabled and not) are caught up in the excitement and appreciation of all the wonderful achievement bodes well for the future. Maybe this inspiration will be the biggest legacy of all...

Our eldest came home from school yesterday delighted to tell us that he's been selected to attend the huge victory parade in London on the 10th. His face was a picture! :)

What's the one on the 16th? The TeamGB one is on the 10th?

Did you ever get to the games?

Yes it is 10th - typo in my OP.

Sadly we didn't get to the games as my wife and eldest were on holiday in E. Europe for almost all of the Olympics and we've only just come back from a family holiday on the Isle of Wight so the timing just didn't work out sadly.

Never mind - they've both been sensational events which have well and truly raised the bar when it comes to global sporting events!

Ah well. You could keep checking the site for entry to the Olympic Park for this weekend? Everyday they add more tickets for stuff like that so, if you wanted, the chance hasn't gone yet.

Just thought, they missed a trick not getting Danny Boyle to present a medal. Imagine the cheer he would have got!
