On the subject of gateways, i was doing some googling earlier on in the week and i dud come across a couple if Cisco residential gateways but they were $180. Some of us are willing to pay for decent routers though so why not offer shubs for free and Cisco equipment for £100 (cant be arsed to look up the exchange rate). I would pay for it. |

To date no one has been able to crack the sr-101 so ATM the only way to use a 3rd party router is to piggy back it onto the sr-101. This what I am using ATM and it seems to work well. Much better that using the sr-101 on it's own. As for Sky "forcing" subs to use sky's supplied equipment, well it is in the T&C's although to date I am told it has never been enforced. |
Re: new Hub to be released?
Had my internet installed today and I also got told that there was in fact a new Hub being released.
Its good that I kept hold of the VMNG300 because I will eventually need a new Modem when more DS channels kick in ! |

On the VM forum, someone mentioned August 2013, so i think its safe to say anything about the new device is merely rumour, and the bad info techs have been giving customers is a fob off based on such rumours |
