Whatever. So I mis-spoke slighty. They certainly recall a lot of them.

Jesus christ, just make the troll happy and move along, this is as bad as one of telford's threads now.

Which is why I emailed the Support team to ask them and they confirmed it with the quote I mentioned previously.

You can, therefore, do the same thing if you like.

As we do not know the question you asked your quote of the reply has no validity.

You signed up to the 6 month trial testing VM that VM advertised. I didn't. I signed up with SamKnows direct before that so I cannot contact the VM support team you speak of.

My SamKnows equipment is also now monotoring my BT connection as the change in my ISP was automatically picked up by it.

You obviously need to read up on how SamKnows monitoring works and what it does before stating you've proved your case and don't want to be contradicted.

The link I've given you is a good start. I suggest you read fully before commenting further.

Yeah. Sorry. Done now.

OH FFS! I asked them "This is still Virgin Media-specific monitoring, isn't it?"

I am NOW done with this thread.

That explains a lot :)

I think he is a relative of TC!

At least TC is entertaining!

Re: Anyone had a 'Keeping Broadband Fast and Fair' email?

Really? Perhaps he needs to check his definitions out!

(PS. You don't think I actually knew that? :p:)

Just wanted to apologise. I didn't mean for this thread to go so OT or get out of control. I just don't see why I should put up with someone telling me I'm wrong when I'm actually not; as Pip did originally.

Now it turns-out that he is actually on a different Broadband monitoring programme than I am; and therefore I was right.

Anyway... we can now get back to our standard, regular flame-throwing :D

Oh for god's sake, it's an Internet forum. no-one CARES if youre right or not.

How old are you? 10?

you're certainly the most picky, pedantic, small minded individual I've had the misfortune to have to post read for some time. Maybe some helpful soul can direct me to a mute/block button so I no longer have to endure your small minded, troll like posts.

----
Figured it out, never muted anyone before.

a) If you are on a VM connection how can your monitor report anything else?

Some people are going to have to learn to accept that I do actually know what I'm talking about sometimes.

b) This report must be a POS then unless the data is also available to OFCOM unless VM is happy for the data not to be included!

c) The question you should've asked is "Does the data collected also form part of the OFCOM report?"

d) I actually forgot you know what you are talking about!

I got an e-mail last week with a link to do a speedtest and was told to submit my address after taking the result. They said it'd take a week for it to arrive but still nothing?
