HBO Programmes stopping on TV Choice
What does this mean for our customers?
It means that the following HBO programmes will no longer available through TV Choice from this date:
Quote:

  • The Wire
  • Entourage
  • The Sopranos
  • In Treatment

hope to god this doesn't mean sky are buying up all the rights to on demand stuff for their own pitiful anytime service.

SD stuff you have to wait to buffer over their adsl system.

As I had feared, it is going:bigcry:That statement is slightly confusing. Will we lose HBO altogether or just those programmes listed? And the date is tomorrow, right?

My Insider thinks the 'HBO on Demand' section will no longer available through Virgin Media on Friday.

The only HD Channels (That I know of) still to come from Sky are the two Sky Arts HD Channels - but still no launch date.

The article makes interesting reading and yes sky though their sheer financial might are hoovering uo on demand content, which it could be argued is bad for consumers, what i fail to understand is and perhaps they could not do it, but why do virgin and BT both of which have on demand services not get together and buy on demand content that they could both show on their respective platforms.

Quite honestly nobody can match skys financial might and ofcom abjectly fail to regulate in a proper fashion on consumers behalf and when they do sky tend to try to run rings around them.

The only way the other companies may be able to compete in this skewed market place would be to try and do deals together.
