Rock solid as always. Must say though that since they did a 5mb upload trial here and took it off again, my upload has dropped from 1.68 down to 1.45. Roll on return of the 5mb :p: Phil |

That was actually one of my better pings. Others were 650+. Nothing else was happening as far as I know, but things look better today. These results are as good as I've ever got, even though they're still short of 50meg. https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/...2010/10/75.png |

That is more like it. If you get those high pings again try a tracert to see where the high ping is being accumulated? If it is the first step (possibly 192.168.1.1) then the problem is at your end. I would be surprised it it is across the whole network. |
Re: 50mb Broadband - Post Your Speed & Vote
What wrong with thinkbroadband speed test (I don't think they not support 50Meg yet ?)
http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedt...3685932239.png and this one correct here: https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/...2010/10/74.png Mon, 04 Oct 2010 14:23:58 GMT Test 1: 2048K took 400 ms = 5120 KB/sec, approx 40960 Kbps, 40 Mbps Test 2: 2048K took 334 ms = 6131.7 KB/sec, approx 49054 Kbps, 47.9 Mbps Test 3: 2048K took 353 ms = 5801.7 KB/sec, approx 46414 Kbps, 45.33 Mbps Test 4: 4096K took 749 ms = 5468.6 KB/sec, approx 43749 Kbps, 42.72 Mbps Overall Average Speed = approx 45044 Kbps, 43.99 Mbps |
Re: 50mb Broadband - Post Your Speed & Vote
The TBB tester supports upwards of 200Mbps without issues.

Re: 50mb Broadband - Post Your Speed & Vote
Speedtest.net is a bit random on speedtests, i get full speeds all the time on BBMAX.
Date of Speed Test: 2010-10-04 19:46:10 Download Speed: 51454 kbps (6431.8 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 1650 kbps (206.3 KB/sec transfer rate) http://www.pingtest.net/result/25394781.png |

I disagree. I have never had a result above 34Mb on TBB either with my 50Mb or trial 200Mb connection. Usually it is far less. (Don't ask for more details, 'cos I ain't telling. We all know the trials exists don't we.) ;) TBB acknowledge that there are issues with the VM network and their test servers. eg http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/fib...eed-tests.html http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/tbb...the-creek.html Here is a TBB test result done just now on my 200Mb connection. It is way, way, way below what I get on the reliable trial test server. (Can't show you that either.) The up speed result is also inaccurate. |
