Re: roomsnet.com warning
Funnily enough the Bayswater Medical Centre is directly across the street at 46 Craven Road.
Hmmmmm I wonder did they walk across the street to hand deliver the letter to themselves or is there a secret tunnel? |
Re: roomsnet.com warning
I tried to contact Amanda Walsh by phone today and was informed she was on holiday until next Monday

Re: roomsnet.com warning
Hi to all the roomsnet sufferers, could anyone inform me that now they have rectfied the technical error and refunds are now being attended to, has anyone actually received any money recently. I have received 2 emails that are identical except the name of the sender is different, I'm afraid it's looking extremly bleak

Re: roomsnet.com warning
I received an email this morning saying the refund had now been carried out and below had a table which they say is the confirmation. When I queried it (they have been telling me for over 4 weeks now that the refund was being processed) they said my bank should be able to confirm a pending payment. I don't want to get my hopes up but it does seem unlike all the other emails they have been sending me.
They said allow 3 working days so I'll let you know if I actually get the money back or not. They've only given me back what was debitted to them initially though, not the extra I spent out their on accomodation they promised me! They say secondary refunds are taking place after they've made all the initial refunds they owe. |
Re: roomsnet.com warning
After 4 weeks and non stop chasing I have finally been refunded the amount that was originally debited to them. I've had to give them my card details yet again to try get a refund for the extra I spent out there but I'm not hopefull that will come back to me. I am however so relieved to have the majority of it back. They said that this was an isolated incident and they hoped it had not deterred me from booking with them again in the future. Like that's going to happen!!!!

Re: roomsnet.com warning
I am glad to see that someone has at last got a refund, i am still waiting. I have noticed though that no new complaints have been posted so perhaps as they say it was an isolated incident. I have an outstanding booking for Nov and when i queried this with them they replied almost immediately saying, quote"future bookings are confirmed bookings and we quarentee that you will have a reservation in the Hotel". We will wait and see !!

Re: roomsnet.com warning
hi all,
i have been refunded but i need to check that it is what i had to pay out after finding out i had no room the difference being £200. i sent them a copy of the bill and they were quite happy to refund it all. i am now waiting for my phone bill as they said i maybe able to get that refunded as well, i'll keep you all updated, mick |
Re: roomsnet.com warning
Masterstd - Call the hotel and the middle supplier to check your booking, don't just trust what roomsnet say, be safe! Once bitten twice shy and all that. I won't ever be using them again!
They've asked me again for receipts to pay back my additional costs which I already sent them at the start of September and they confirmed they had received. Their administration is just a shambles. It's only an extra £30 for me though so I'm not as bothered about that, I'm merely still chasing on principle! |
Re: roomsnet.com warning
Can you lot please get your own forum for this discussion?

Re: roomsnet.com warning
I personally, don't care - intact, it annoys me when users say "I'll keep you updated" get on with getting your money back and wasting typing energy and electricity on a forum, whee alot of us, probably don't. Mods can this be closed as it's only going to attract more unhappy users and cause more ranting.

Re: roomsnet.com warning
Cable Forum is first and foremost a HELP site. Please remember this and allow us to help those in need even if the only help we can provide is a place to vent and rant and tell their tale.
From broadband issues to lost emails,to crappy Customer service whether VM,PC World,Southern Electricity to roomsnet.com we can help by being supportive of those receiving less than stellar help. Thank you for your patience and understanding. |
Re: roomsnet.com warning
They don't need help, either obtain a refund from this firm, speak to trading standards and or the regulatory body and issue a charge back, with their card issuer and or bank account. It's simple to be honest. I don't see the need for over complications, 5 pages of boring ranting. Yes CF is a help forum, however I was under the impression the main "aim" of the forum, is for VM clients and possible clients and ADSL and tech. Withs general chat? Pretty much? This is only going to attract more people, who would rather cry about it on a forum, rather than get off their butts and do anything about it.
So, if you are having trouble with this company, advice is: * speak to them, calmy. Swearing, being rude etc. Will get you no where. * issue a chargeback with your card supplier and or bank * speak to your local trading standards office. * if you believe and can proove, they owe you money, issue court papers, with the likes of money claim, remember, don't add costs etc into the claim, a judge will slap you for that. * don't rant and or bad mouth in a public forum, it will go against you * keep in contact with this company and your card issuer That sums, most of my advice up |

Yes Cable Forum is aimed at supporting users of Virgin Media services. But that is not to the exclusion of everything else otherwise we would not have bothered with the other forum sections. Our members have a choice: If you don't like a thread that is within this forum's rules - ignore it, otherwise live and let live. We are here to enable everyone to view an opinion and given the comments in this thread so far I'm glad to know that I am well advised to give a certain internet company a wide berth. |
