No i believe he said he didn't have enough room to use it, that's the problem with it, you need a mansion to have enough room to use the thing,it was a nice idea but Move PS3 all the way :)

Thats not all that he mentioned though. The glossy black and ability to attract dust and scratch easy was also referenced as a reason for returning it.

You still need a good 6-8 foot for Move as well.

The console's finish is not my reason for returning it, the fact it wants at least an 8x8 foot square just to play solo is the problem, but as I had a chance to use it I thought I would post my observations about the S console.

If I can't return it, then I'll have to sell it at a loss because I would prefer to get something for it than have it sitting in its box on the floor. I should have stuck with my original gut feeling and just got a refund on the deposit, but sometimes you don't know until you try.

I considered eBay, but their fees are quite expensive and this is more noticeable on higher priced items. Kinect isn't exactly the sell-out MS were talking up either and unlike the 360, PS3 and Wii lauches there are plenty of Kinects in the shops, so I'm not sure how this will affect its popularity on eBay. I would need to sell it for more than £300 to break even and at least £300 to not lose too much.

Its not a full console though so you can't compare it to the 3 console launches. Microsoft announced yesterday that they have already sold over 1 million Kinect devices, so to me that says it was a success. Its probably still on sale in many places as they were able to manufacture a lot more kinects than what usually happens when a new console is released.

£300 is that the bundle with the console then? or are you just hoping to make a huge profit?

The 250 GB S and Kinect bundle is £299.99 and it all comes in one box and is not two solo items.

why dont u just sell the kinect you would easily get £125 upwards just for that alone

I could do, but it will only really be useful to people with the S console, because the bundle doesn't include the Kinect power cable.

How big is the Kinect sensor? Only reason im asking is, if its longer than my Samsung Blu ray player, then I simply wont have room

It's 280mm wide , 65mm deep , 75mm high :)

So ideally my BR player needs to be or exceed, if only slightly 280mm wide :) . Thanks for that
