The engineer who installed our Sky TV H/D box had to run a cable right round our house to get the other box installed in the bedroom (for my disabled wife)

He was telling us that in a few years it will all be cable free, with a signal being sent from the main box, (like our telephones are just now)
All the installation he did was free, (just as well.;)

Why would it be upscaled? Shows like Lost are available on blu-ray in 1080p. It would be pretty odd to film it at less than HD resolution.

720p is still HD though, and its entirly possible that it was shot in that and upscaled to 1080p for the Blu-Ray release.

Look at Life on Mars, that got a Blu-Ray release and yet the series wasn't shot in HD at all or even in Digital for that matter.:)
