If a quote says something you agree with, it's 100% accurate and unquestionable, but if it says something disproving your view, it's wrong, it's "bile" and twisting events and should be ignored?

I believe Bush did say that. Do you think Abu Mazen the Palestinien Prime Minister is in a position to be making misleading and damaging comments about the most power man on earth?

"I feel like God wants me to run for President. I can't explain it, but I sense my country is going to need me. Something is going to happen... I know it won't be easy on me or my family, but God wants me to do it."
--George W. Bush commenting to Texas evangelist James Robinson in the run-up to his presidential campaign

"God told me to strike at al Qaeda and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam [Hussein], which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East. If you help me I will act, and if not, the elections will come and I will have to focus on them."
--Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Abu Mazen quoting Bush when they met in Aqaba; reported in The Haaretz Reporter by Arnon Regula

You really know how to change the facts to get your point over, don't you?

The above quote is completely false, as the webpage you linked to shows - What is actually on that page is -

"Nabil Shaath says: "President Bush said to all of us: 'I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, "George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan." And I did, and then God would tell me, "George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq …" And I did. And now, again, I feel God's words coming to me, "Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East." And by God I'm gonna do it.'"

Abu Mazen was at the same meeting and recounts how President Bush told him: "I have a moral and religious obligation. So I will get you a Palestinian state." "

Where does it state that Abu Mazen(not Nabil Shaath) said that George Bush told him that God told GWB to invade Iraq?

Whats the problem here to make a speech? if he wants to do it then he can do it and if C4 want to broadcast it, then they can.

What your not seeing foreverwar and Xaccers is that by selectively accepting quotes that supports his argument and ignoring quotes that challenge it, chaos ends up with a story he likes. I mean facts are only any good when they support you.;)

No, you have misread, go back and have a look it clearly says:

Abu Mazen, Palestinian Prime Minister, and Nabil Shaath, his Foreign Minister, describe their first meeting with President Bush in June 2003.

Now remind me why are we talking about what certain Palestinians may or may not have said about Bush when we are discussing the Iranian President's Christmas speech on Channel 4?

You said that there was nothing to suggest he was not of sound mind, I pointed out (again) that he is apparently a holocaust denier :)

;)chaos23, I admire you standing up for your views.

What Ahmadinejad said about the Holocaust was wrong.
But think about it, the country Palestine was taken from them, perhaps he feels really passionate about his views, and maybe he has a tendancy to over react alot.

Can anybody give me a reason for the Isrealites to have attacked Palestine and kicked everyone out all those years ago and leave them homeless? I'm sure they could've come to a peaceful arrangement but a war was started over nothing.
It was the Palestinian's home, they didn't have a right to kill loads of people and kick them out in their homes.

I don't see anyone critisising that.

I bet I'm gonna get one comment along the lines of metally unstable now!!

You mean the palestinians who had their land "stolen" from them and turned into TransJordan? Strange how no one comments on that, after all, while the jews were given the malaria ridden lands, the majority of palestine was handed over to the Hashemites. Or does that not matter because they weren't Jewish?
Or the arabs who fled their homes because they listened to the anti-jewish radio broadcasts and believed them?
You know, the ones who the arab nations turned their backs on, and used as pawns?
Funny how arab Israelis (those who for whatever reason didn't listen to the anti-jewish broadcasts) support Israel and the last thing they want is it handed over to the PA or Hamas. Of course, that doesn't gel with the "Jews are the bad guys" image, so generally gets ignored.

You think that the arabs just left their homes without a fight? I completely disagree with you on that point. I don't think anyone would want to go to a refugee camp or flee to a country not their own because there are too many jews.
As for the nation being handed over to Hamas or PA, I don't beleive that should happen. At this stage I think palestinians who want to return should be given the right of return, or maybe palestine should just be split into two equal independant countries with a permanant cease fire.
I'm not saying the Jews are the bad guys, I'm just saying that I think they were defintly in the wrong.
But I'm sure any Palestinian would see someone who did what they did as bad.
As for the majority of palestine being handed over to the Hashemites, I didn't know about that. People arn't happy with Muslims coming into Britain today though, I'm sure if it were English/Christian people, people would mind a little less. Are you telling me people arn't in protest here because there are too many muslims in the country?
"Or the arabs who fled their homes because they listened to the anti-jewish radio broadcasts and believed them?" - Most people seem to beleive the media today which seems to be portraying that all Muslims are bombers.

I hope I don't come across as rude by the way, I just get a little passionate about making points.
