Well i hope the people who want it can get it over a data connection as well as wi-fi.

The current offering of wi-fi only is pretty poor.

I know its an old post here but its app relevant.

Will there ever be a point when virgin add more users to the anywhere app/sky.
I get the sky part might be unlikely, but maybe he tv anywhere side may be easier?
Two isn't enough, surely 4 is a good amount, i.e. the whole family being able to use it?

Sky have SKYGO Xtra, which has four devices!!

I have to agree two devices is rather mean there are four of us here. Hopefully VM will look at this. Netflix and flixster also allow you numerous devices.

Still waiting for lollipop support.

According to Twitter account, they are still developing it.

Hell will freeze over before you see Lollipop support.

Absolutely shambolic given that Android is now the most popular mobile operating system.

Together with the fact that the Apple version has had been updated 3 times since the last Android update then you read the response from Virgin through their forum it is very lacklustre, screams of total apathy towards Android.

Re: TV Anywhere Android App

If enough people make their feelings known via official routes hopefully VM will have a change of heart.

This situation was exactly the same with Skys apps , the response and complaints were huge forcing Sky to change their plans , some apps such as the Sky+ apps now receive updates on Android before the iOS version.

I just don't get why they think that everyone has Apple rubbish. I would rather go without access to the internet than ever use Apple products.

Latest version of the Android app on Google Play appears to have been signed in a way that prevents it being installed on older devices.

It took them years to get it to work in the first place, so if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Still nowhere near as good as the DVR Commander app, which VM block from working.

The app has just been updated to fix this so you should now be able to install.

So apart from the latest fix, what extra does this new version do? I haven't noticed anything.

Re: TV Anywhere Android App

The original update was to add support for new Nexus devices. The latest update fixed the bug that stopped older devices updating.

There were no other new features

They could have at least changed the colour to give the impression of an update. A nice aqua marine would be better than angry red.

Re: TV Anywhere Android App

Apologies, no doubt this has been asked/addressed somewhere in the thread but the prospect of trawling throough 29 pages of posts is a tad 'daunting'.

The app is called TV Anywhere.....which is a false description. It should be called TV Anywhere There Is A WiFi App. When are Virgin going to enhance the app to allow access when in a 4G area. 4G has been widely available for 2years+ now and is being rolled out across large parts of the UK. It's ludicrous that this app will not stream across 4G network. I am able to use the SkySport app when in 4G area to watch my Virgin SkySport Sub, so why can't Virgin do this for the TV Not Quite Anywhere app ?

Anyone aware if this is being worked on ?

Cheers

TrevP
