-Virgin Media to launch TNA on demand service sometime in 2014.
-I am hearing that Sky Sports News HD, Sky1 +1, Sky Atlantic and Sky News HD may launch within the next two weeks.

Good news about the BBC programmes in HD. There is a surprising amount of good stuff on BBC Four like The Killing and The Bridge and even the odd programme like Orphan Black on BBC Three worth recording. At this rate we might need a 2 TB TiVo box.

If Sky Atlantic arrives as well, make that a 3 TB box.

I have not forget to post an channel number for News 18 - no channel number was confirmed to me today.

I really do think it will launch on Virgin Channel 626 or 833.

I would accept Sky Atlantic in SD only, nice to have HD but if that is the compromise to do a deal wth Sky that will be enough for me.

Access to content as part of my XL package is the issue for me, getting HD is a bonus.

But still rumours for now and no insider confirmation (too far off?) so will really belive it when I see it on the EPG!

Now Thats What I Call Music have stated on their facebook page that it will not be launching on Virgin because there isnt enough EPG space.

When this channel was first announced, I believe that they said it would be on Freeview, Freesat, Sky and VM.

They are now said to be only launching on Freesat and Sky.

There are currently nearly two 24 hour streams on DTT up for lease, as well as lots of bits and pieces that other broadcasters don't use.

I would, however, expect them to pipe it over the internet to freeview boxes because of cost issues.

I'm surprised that it's not going to be on VM, it can't imagine that it would be an expensive channel to obtain and one of the reasons the channel has been created is to increase awareness of the Now That's What I Call Music brand.

Perhaps they are launching on satellite first due to the convenience (they are taking over the Greatest Hits TV slot as it is not performing well) and it will come to other platforms in the future?

Yes, 15 minutes a night between 2.15 and 2.30am, sharing the Channel 5 +1 stream on Freeview. Currently a placeholder but possibly indicating that it could simply be an alternative to Channel 5 +1 during the hours when they are unable to show the repeat of Supercasino.

Other news for MB, lot of rumour going on about a shake up within Viacom, nothing UK Based from what I can see as I have a connection with the US Operation but it could be changes which take place internationally.

you never know when channels will launch anymore could be tonight...or next week. quite a lot of examples of channels not following the usual tuesday and thursday launch schedule.

My bad folks didnt see the confirmed next to fox+ but to be fair to mb that channel was supposed to been on weeks ago,really dont know whats happened there.
bit of news my monthly email to universal hd owners got a reply this morning and wasnt the usual copy paste answer.
Thankyou for your interest in our channel,however at this time whilst discussions may or may not be going on with your provider we are unable disclose any information. Thanks for showing a interest in our hd channel

The goodies are coming but no idea when yet as far as i'm aware it's sometime in August , people have to realise we get info from other sources as does MB and sometimes those sources turn out to be untrue.
All MB does is pass on info what he's been given it's not his fault if channels don't launch.
FOX+ was meant to launch a couple of weeks ago , no idea what is going on with that even my source has said FOX epected FOX+ to be and running on VM by now but something is stopping it no idea what yet.
3 channels were meant to launch last night maybe it's a simple case of sources jumping the gun a little but the new channels are coming that is a guarantee , just don't know when yet.

I have to say I was sceptical. The only channels on MB's list that would have realistically launched on their own were Sky Atlantic, 5Later and the Active Channel. Once MB confirmed that 5Later wasn't even broadcasting, save for a 15 minute slate elsewhere in the middle of the night, and then in a later post included Active Channel in a list of channels that wouldn't be launching, we were left with Sky Atlantic. And if anybody thinks that's going to just arrive quietly without any fanfare then I would suggest they're mistaken.

I'd rather get information even if it's only 90% sure as it does brighten up my otherwise dull and lacklustre life. This morning I jumped out of bed (actually rolled over in bed since TiVo is in my bedroom) to check the channels. I was left feeling blue but for that brief 30 second period I was a man full of dreams and hope....

My day has since gone downhill as I missed the bus, my taxi then got stuck in busy traffic due to the school run and my manager wants me to review my work since April which involves effort. But at 7.45am I felt alive....

May this thread live long with the dreams of countless users...
