Not a great comeback for Schumi but to me and for many he's still the greatest F1 driver of all time. :)

Electrical failure.

I just hope he gets through his Mercedes debut ok.

With Hamilton I feel it can go one of two way's, He'll crash out on the first lap or he'll pull of a masterclass win.

I like McLaren but I just think they've been a disaster this season and have been slipping wildly since the last rule changes and I'd rather see Kimi at McLaren for a few years than Perez.

Vettel to Ferrari is a guarantee regardless of their denials, as been said it's a poorly kept secret. The more interesting side is who will be taking lead seat at RedBull and will Mark Webber be there or are we looking at a completely new lineup.

RedBull Driver predictions anyone?

Just for informational purposes, this is the confirmed driver line up so far for the 2013 season.

Caterham: TBA
Ferrari: Fernando Alonso & Felipe Massa
Force India: TBA
HRT: Pedro de la Rosa & TBA
Lotus: Kimi Raikkonen & TBA
Marussia: Timo Glock& TBA
McLaren: Jenson Button & Sergio Perez
Mercedes: Lewis Hamilton & Nico Rosberg
Red Bull: Sebastien Vettel & Mark Webber
Sauber: Niko Hulkenburg & TBA
Toro Rosso: Daniel Ricciardo & Jean Eric Vergne
Williams: TBA

I make that 10 seats still to fill for next season. Will Karthikeyan manage to get another drive? Whilst it is a good selling point for F1 in India, he has never actually managed to do much in a F1 car.

I also hope that di Resta manages to get a drive for next season. I reckon he would do well at Sauber.

I agree. If he has a fast enough car i reckon he has what it takes to get the most of it. What would be very awesome but not possible, is for Shumi to be in a HRT and then lets see how good of a driver he is haha

Since his move to Sky he obviously thinks that HE is superior to everyone else...... i say that because of the comment he made when Seb said that brundle had to "join the queue" brundle comment was something along the lines of "he doens't matter he's not "live" (as in the BBC was not broadcasting the race live).

What an arrogant S**t he's gone right down in my estimation.

He has always done that, no matter what channel he was broadcasting on, he normally doesnt give up hetting the interview he wants and waits for drivers to finish the interview before they come to hom. I respect him. His comment was in a joking way and David would have known that

Maybe not the according to the rules. But what the team did is morally wrong. It's a loophole/technicality that they've exploited.

Part of me wishes Red Bull had done the same thing with Webber and therefore putting the spoilt spaniard back on the dirty side of the track.

......and I don't agree on some of Red Bull's practices either.

I just don't like Ferrari. In the time i've been watching F1 they've never been good at sportsmanship. They've also had a very large dose of assistance from the FIA and stewards over the years over and above what other teams have had.

MalteseFalcon 18-11-2012 21:50

Re: Formula 1 2012 season

Before I start, let me say that I don't have a particular favourite Constructor in F1.

Ferrari may have done something immoral/illegal, but let's face it every season there is always some controversy over cheating by a Constructor. A few years ago, there was the big McLaren spy scandal. Then there have been the seasons where a team has started well and the others moan about it being illegal because that team stretched the rules to the edges without going into cheating territory.

I'm just glad that even though he gained third place, he didn't win the race. Saying that, I dislike Germany more than Spain so will be abandoning my anyone but Alonso stance in Brazil and cheering him on to win the title.

Cobbydaler 18-11-2012 21:52

Re: Formula 1 2012 season

Alonso is proud of Ferrari's shennanigans:

Quote:

Alonso has been talking in the TV pen after the race and has praised the decision of the team which saw him promoted to seventh as team-mate Massa took a penalty. "It was a choice decision from the team," said Alonso. "We [were going to] start sixth and eighth. We were worried to arrive ninth and 10th into the first corner. I'm proud of this decision, I'm proud of team for saying the truth [behind the decision]."

Not really as Vettel is right behind him and thats fine for Vettel. Its just a case of if Vettel's car is damaged enough to retire and if the stewards will investigate the yellow flags incident but i doubt it

Alonsos still some way off the race leader. it works for both Seb and Alonso. it makes for a decent battle too.

I agree it will make a good battle. I just hope Vettel fails to finish and Alonso stays 4th. Come on Vettel's car please brake down

Who said anything about violence? I dont want that ether i want Vettel to retire.

Massa now ahead of Vettel. Hopefully he can hold Vettel up

---------- Post added at 17:00 ---------- Previous post was at 16:54 ----------

Vettel making a few mistakes. Is he feeling the pressure? I can see this being 2008 all over again, the title to be won on the last corner of the last lap of the last race

I agree, we never know but there is no way Alonso will win the race and i dont see anyone overtaking Vettel and also Vettel is catching Shumi so is putting a gap between him and 8th place. Vettel wont make a mistake that will cost him the title

Not giving up hope yet, still time for Vettel's rear wing to fail big time.
