What are Virgin going to do with BT Sport Showcase?

Are they going to offer the HD variant or just simulcast the SD channel carrying the appropriate game at the appropriate time?

"THE English Football League and Sky have agreed a new £600m deal to show any midweek Championship game live on television.

Details of the revolutionary five-year contract between 2019-2024 – communicated to the 72 member clubs last night – are to be announced today.

From next season, the broadcaster can show every midweek match via its interactive service so that viewers can choose which game to watch.

There are eight full midweek rounds of Championship matches so there will be regular head-to-head clashes with Champions League games shown on BT Sport.

Sky Sports have retained the rights to the Football League in a deal worth around £120million a year."

Now, now, Den, you're twisting it a bit there! I actually posted about the Premier League, because I think that's where it will all start in earnest in the UK. I also said there were likely to be bids from the global players for these Premiership rights either this coming round or the next.

Sky Sports has strengthened its position as the home of football with a new deal to show live coverage of the EFL until 2024, offering Sky customers more matches and more ways to watch than ever before.

The good news for non sky subscribes such as myself is there will at least be some games available for streaming direct from the EFL.

I'd definitely be interested in this to follow some of my teams matches who based on recent form will be back in the Championship by the time this starts.

What's the deal with the Alvarez Golovkin fight tomorrow?
It's a Boxnation ppv. Can I just order this is in the same way as I would with a sky ppv?
