You could clearly hear people in the background, talking in a language that l could not understand.

I wasn't rude, but its frustrating that you are trying to explain a problem, and they have no idea what l am saying.

and I am sure they felt the same way

Exactly. I refuse to deal with the idiots abroad and have been given a special number to call.

Is this Karl Pilkingtons number?

Does amazon uk prime have anything good on it

Pretty good movies but it's the TV side of it I'm enjoying. The Borgias, Vikings, Black Sails, Copper and Extant would be my top picks however Hell on Wheels, Alcatraz, Blue Bloods and Hatfield and McCoys deserve a mention too.

Not watched any of it. It looks like a show I could enjoy, but I really, really don't like the cast. For this reason alone I'm finding it difficult to even attempt.

I'd love to, but when people have asked before I have been told not to give it out (there's only somebody there in office hours).

True, but getting through to a robot that can barely splutter a word of coherent English isn't much better. I see no reason why we can't have UK based call centres all the time (even if only for emergencies at certain points). On each occasion I am told that it's becase it's cheaper, but I don't believe it is after the loss of dissatisfied customers, pointless engineer callouts etc are factored in.

If they do feel the same way they should face a disciplinary hearing and/or a capability test for not understanding English.

Karl Pilkington indeed :D :D

I am right in thinking that if I wanted to add movies on for a month, as I already have Sports and the SKY HD sub, it would only be an extra £7 for a month? Thinking of adding it on August 23, as relative coming down for birthday and then cancelling in September once the month is up.

If so, that would make an £81 bill £88?

Yes, you're correct in that it should be just an extra £7.00.

Give it a try bud, it's pretty good, not quite up there with Breaking Bad, but very watchable!

Or just hire a full UK staff. I doubt have having a 24 hour UK based customer service centre would cause VM (or any company) to go bankrupt.
