I honestly think it's a hardware issue that is causing it but at the moment I don't have the funds available to mess around, swapping ssd's, sound card and motherboard as they are not cheap and I have my some of my brothers wedding to pay for.

Some nice new additions, they have taken into account the fact that not everyone is an idiot and might want to boot into desktop instead of the mobile phone interface, the start button is not a real start button but its better than there previous abortion of a start button. Some rumours on the net say that Microsoft might offer the facilitator to revert to the commonly known desktop in the next upgrade. Will play with it a bit longer and see how it goes.

The games ran fine, however the jury is still out and I intend to spend a bit more time on it before I make a decision

Well i am back to windows 7. I gave it a shot but its just not what i want. My windows 7 does what i want and without any silly mobile phone tiles. I will now wait for windows 9 which is rumored to be returning to the original os layout

start 8 is a much much better shell than any of the free ones. Just saying cuz I looked at some others and they are poo in comparison. I dunno why you see tiles Sirius I only do when I want to and I have an app that runs win 8 apps in a resizable window which works well

as you can see by the pic I have taken control of win 8 and made its appearance how I want it. If I want to use tiles I can and easily open and close the apps at will
