On Sky the Sky Premiere movies are waiting on your box on a Friday morning , The Tourist , Made in Dagenham , Rabbit Hole are available in HD. I guess the system will be different on VM.

Is that on Sky Anytime or Anytime+ muppetman?

That is Sky Anytime and goes for the same on the web version they run.
Looks like Virgin have rolled out some but by no means as many as Sky Anytime has and also not as recent as mentioned new films get added weekly.
Also removed after several months or a year also.
They have an option of last chance that lists the films that are due to be removed from their service in the next week or 2. I found this handy in case you always thought I want to watch this sometime and then realise it's going in 3 days or whatever.

That's good to hear. I always thought they'd have gimped the standard Anytime offering when they introduced Anytime+. :)

Sorry this is a bit after the fact, but this is a bit like calling the sun a bit warm! Sky repeats ad neuseum, my bet is they get change from a pound for a day's broadcasting.

I rarely watch the Sky channels but tried Trollied as it's from the same stable as The Royle Family and we like Jane Horrocks. Looking through the EPG I noted that the same episodes were being repeated every night at the same time! Loved the show, but I'd like to know when the next episodes are due.

At the moment I have V+ (TiVO next week) and if I use series link and hit "All" then it would record a pile of repeats. Already a problem on the Sky channels this is riduculous.

It shouldn't V+ works in a similar way to Sky+ , say the new series started on Monday at 9pm if you series link this it should record all episodes every Monday unless the broadcaster switches day. A wishlist for the show when you get TIVO would instantly record it , I'm sure someone on here could advise you on the best way to set it up to avoid repeats if that's possible.

Thanks again mate, good to have you around. :)

Am I right in thinking that you don't need to download the Anytime programmes at all & they can just be copied straight to your planner?

'New and reruns' is the best option. Tivo won't record the same episode of a show within 28 days of the first recording. If it's a brand new show, never aired before, you can select 'New'. Initially , there was somtimes problems with 'New' option on US shows if they'd aired previously in the US This seems to be fixed now, but 'New and reruns' is still the safest option. I do use 'new' sometimes though, for channels such as Universal, who are constantly showing various seasons of shows like L&O SVU, and all I want is the latest one.

Anytime content is downloaded via satellite to your box overnight and available to play instantly , it is refreshed each day.
