We bossed the first half after their goal I hear. I would take things as they stand what with Newcastle losing but if we win this game then we have one foot in third place and next year's Champions League.

This is what is at stake Arsenal. Automatic Champions League qualification.

---------- Post added at 15:54 ---------- Previous post was at 15:53 ----------

Wigan doing well need to keep Newcastle at bay. 4 - 0 is nothing, it can all gone horribly wrong, trust me.

If Chelsea win the Champions League all the English teams will go right into the group stage. If they don't then, as normal, 4th place has to qualify.

even Southampton :D no seriously i know..

1st-3rd including Chelsea will go into the group stages. Anyone other than Chelsea finishing 4th will get pushed out the CL and into the Europa League unless Chelsea finish higher than 4th. then 4th will go into the playoffs as normal.

i watched it mate. Stoke started well but we woke up after the goal and got a grip. from then on it was all us with the odd Stoke threat. Towards the end Sagna with a clearance off the line. Ramsey come close, Tommy too.

Stoke literally parked the bus and again we couldn't find a way in on goal.

Defending isn't so much of a problem when the back four is fit, like today, it's the lack of creativity in midfield and poor finishing.

Yes, he was at RB. He didn't have a great game. Summarisers on Radio Scotland reckoned he'd be hooked at half time as he was being led a merry dance by Celtic's LB.

He was also at fault for the second goal. At first I thought Commons had produced a bit of magic to wrong foot 2 defenders but the replay showed Bartley torpedoed into a tackle that was no where near the ball or Commons. No idea what he was doing. I think he managed to confuse his own team!!!

He got a bit of help in the second half but his main contribution was picking up a yellow card.

Definitely not Arsenal Class. Doubt if he'd get a game Rangers if they weren't skint.

I think he was unlucky with Liverpool. They had deep problems when he took over. Prior to that he did well with Fulham and abroad.

Similar age to Redknapp.

Redknapp also didn't do too well at Southampton.

Lucky at Fulham as well?

Managed in Italy (Inter Milan twice), managed Switzerland and Finland as well as several other European sides.

He is very highly thought of at Inter where he handled lots of big personalities including fat Ronaldo and I like international managers to be a little ancient, it's not a young mans job imo.

Abosolutely. Then maybe SAF will stop kidding himself about the state of the current squad which in turn should make him strengthen the team so we can come back hard next season and dominate for the next 5 years again.

Don't think SAF is deluded about the state of the team at all, he knows he has to spend big money to compete and it's not being made available, I respect him more now doing the job he has for the last few years than I ever did before when he was the one spending all the cash.

I think United will win or draw tonight. Ferguson has done an outstanding job getting this team to where they are, it's frankly absurd that he should be questioned at all. He has more than proved that he isn't only the best manager in the world but will be remembered as one of the best in history, if not the best.

AS a Man Utd fan i am so nervous about tonight. Fergie is the best British manager of all time. No manager will be at 1 single club for the amount of time he has been at Utd

Guy Roux was at Auxerre for a longer time. Get your point however. :D

He would be better off keeping his mouth shut as these things have a habit of backfiring and biting you back on the nose.

So Roy Hodgson is about to become the England manager :dunce:

Glad we had one Englishman stupid enough to take the job.

My view is the FA made this a mess, and probasbly affected Tootenham's chances for 3rd or 4th.

They could easily have sorted this earlier.

I don't think so. They would have disrupted West Brom's season with any suggestion that Harry might not be their manager. They kept quiet and said they would make an approach at the end of the season and that there was more than one candidate.
