Ah don't worry. I'm watching by alternative means. Which is what I shall be doing from here to eternity instead of subscribing to sky sports.

EFL 'to double TV rights income'

http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/off-the-...me_304232.html

So much from some great sages of this forum saying sports rights bids would be reducing.;)

You can hardly compare £180 million for EPL with the £5.1 billion for the Premier league. Lets just wait and see what happens with The Premier League rights.

Isn't the championship like 4th best league in the world now though?

BT football strategy up in the air after shock substitution

A sudden power shift at BT has triggered the exit of a key architect of its multibillion-pound football spending spree and cast new uncertainty over its bidding in a forthcoming auction of Premier League rights.

Well if previous history is our great barometer the outcome is inevitable.:)

Interesting piece, if BT do change strategy, it could open things up for others.

Fingers crossed BT stop trying to take sky sports on as we all have to pay extra then....Perhaps BT will go the way of Setanta and ESPN eventually... The curse of Steve McManaman will continue as the pundit with 3 dead channels hanging over him.

Get the champions league back to sky too and take the microphone away from Michael Owen and the world will be a better place

So you're happy for SKY to keep raising prices with no competition then?

People in Italy in Germany are saying the same about SKY as you are about BT since they have come in and shaken up their markets.

However, regarding Michael Owen, I'll give you that ;) Although he seems to be pretty much a pundit nowadays. Don't think he did a single PL commentary last season. Thought Lampard came across well yesterday, a good addition.

As I have and will always boycott SKY I personally think the world is a better place as now I have access to decent sports content.
