anyway, isn't 100% renewable energy a myth considering the energy used in building and maintaining the infrastructure used to harness, store and distribute it?

I'm still trying to work out how the price of wind whistling down the Humber has gone up in price and how the price of photons received at the solar farm have gone up in price.

Discord . . the super duper communications thing used by gamers and the like.

I'm playing more since retirement, so found a group of people to play alongside, most of which use the 'fabulous' discord when gaming.

I download it, install it, then create an account . . which is immediately flagged as 'suspicious' for some reason they can't (or won't) reveal. It continually asks me for phone number verification instead of email address . . I've never given my phone number and never will.

Their 'support' tell me a phone number is now (as of around 6 months ago) a requirement. I ask them why, as verification by either phone or email makes no real difference to how I'll conduct myself online . . . no answer . . I'm now convinced phone number requirement is a scam and they're selling the numbers on, screw em, lots of people being locked out of accounts because of this.

. . . how much is the cheapest 'burner phone' (oooh that will get the FBI looking now) to use for circumventing bollix like this?

Why not get a burner SIM - if you get a PAYG that works in your phone it may cost less than a cheap phone.

I have my phone for 2 step verification. Don't have any issues. A few other services such as PSN and others use phone for 2 step. It's seen as more secure as only you will likely ever have the phone. Where as email accounts can also get hacked and could be accessed to get the verification code.

Christmas decorations will be in the shops soon to replace the Easter eggs that have been displayed since January and still are in my Tesco.

Substitutions with Asda online shopping. Lemon Sherberts replaced with boiled mint sweets? Frylight sunflower oil spray for Frylight butter spray?Wholemeal rolls for white rolls when I ALREADY had ordered white rolls. So many substitutions for items that were in stock when I ordered them last night.

However I'm just not up to to going to do a big shop these days. It's too heavy on my back and arms. And yes I could tick no substitutions but I reckon I could end up with nothing at that rate.

I guess that the pickers are just not paid enough to care about providing a service for the elderly, infirm and disabled.:(

On another note, the Lycra brigade scourge is out in full force. Has been since Easter, loving every minute of building up a huge traffic queue behind them. This matter is as important as anything else going on in the country!
