Rumours are rife Rooney put in another transfer request which was declined and is being blamed for the early leak of SAF's retirement.

And my aunt, a rabid Chelsea supporter, says none of the Chelsea fans will welcome Rooney. Way she speaks, Rooney would be more hated than Benitez.

I don't know, might be a sulky git but when on form a great player to have in your team. He surely couldn't be any worse for Chelsea than Torres has been?

People who say they don't want Rooney at their club are liars, he's still England's best player.

Blow Rooney out to Real Madrid with a bag containing £30m strapped to him and get Ronnie in return. RVP and Ronnie up-front, I'd be happy with that :)

Yes Ronnie would be welcome at any club.

Which is more damning of England than praise of Rooney. Also why would "any club" want Rooney? His form has been off for a couple of seasons and his fitness is questionable. At 28 neither of these things are likely to improve and he causes hassle. £200,000k a week? Pah.

Rooney reportedly brings in a LOT in merchandise sales for United and when he's on form he's nothing short of a miracle but.....how often does he hit that form? IMO not often enough and neither for long enough.

Yes, I don't see him producing often enough

A new challenge might help him...just don't want him personally.

But nobody asks me when buying players...though they should :D
