Re: What have you just bought?
A second hand Google Pixel 6 Pro 256GB. I've lost the value unless I sell it now which I'm not doing. With Google updates ending next year you'd probably be asking why I brought it. Firstly it's a secondary device. Secondly I always wanted one. Third I paid just under £150 for it. I'm chuffed with it though, it's been well looked after :D

I was using my OnePlus 9 Pro as a secondary device but I didn't like the support they offer. Updates are wishful thinking. Recycling have offered me around £50 for it. Prior to that I had a Xiaomi Mi4C which developed display issues, random touch points, weird but it was a fun 4G device running custom ROMs. |

3 Parker Jotter fountain Pens to be exclusively used at work, that brings mine collection up to 31.
I also managed to convert 3 of the 4 people I work with to use fountain pens. |

A spudger to replace one that vanished after around 30 years.

Lots of discounted food from M&S. I think their usual clientele are on their jolly hols in Madeira or suchlike :)

Re: What have you just bought?
A battery-powered lawn mower. I’ve been skeptical of them for years, with their high prices and low run-time, but things seem to be improving.
I bought a Bosch Universal Rotak 550, with dual 18v 4w/h batteries. |

Re: What have you just bought?
Yeah, I gave it a test run yesterday when I got it assembled, and I did front and back in less than half the time. Admittedly it was only 5 days after its last cut so front and back didn’t even fill a whole grass box, but still. My last experience of being untethered was at my old house where the garden was large and rough and needed a petrol mower to get it done. I used to have to allow a couple of hours for that, and time afterwards for a shower, as it was seriously heavy work. This was a breeze. I’m really happy with it. The only minor niggle is that it requires 2 charged batteries but they supplied a charger that only does one battery at a time (and apparently they don’t even make one that can charge two at once). Looks like I’m going to have to buy a second charger so I don’t have to keep one eye on the recharge to swap them over.
