Sliced slow cooked brisket from the freezer. Roast taters and parsnips. Steamed carrots and sprouts. Giant Yorkie. Creamed horseradish sauce and gravy to serve.

The Greek version with lamb, veg and cheese in a packet or the Cypriot slow cooked lamb shank in tomato and wine? I love the latter, not so keen on the former.

I'm not cooking this evening: Instead a good cheese board with crackers, sauces and pickles. Wine - McGuigan reserve Chardonnay. Then nibbles and mixers until midnight.

Main TV is rubbish as usual so I'll look out a blockbuster or two. Plenty on the media server to browse.

Then toast in the new year. :)
