Thanks for explaining, i'd never come across that before.

There was a bit of noise at the beginning, but others must have told them to shut up as it was completely silent by the second bell.

That figure looks pretty low.

About 500,000 it would seem - although it would have been on ITV as well.

I was wonder how many households watched the game on BT Showcase, YouTube and the BT Sport app? The total viewing figures across the full BT spectrum of viewing options has got to be around double this figure

Thanks to BT closing the SD channel on Freeview I didn't get to see it at all!

This is actually happening very soon for customers of Sky Sports.

It's all about giving customers more choice about what they pay for which has been out of touch for many years. I don't think its going to be quite as simple or cheap as the Mail makes out. It will lead to inflation in the costs of the Full Sports package, IMO.

Keep eyes open for this incoming soon.

This might be connected with "mailshots" about "free" HD Sports but I have no info about that.

FYI, it's not.

Got more info on this and it's just a Sky marketing campaign for certain customers with Sports and Boxsets packages to encourage them not to downgrade the Sports in the future.

I can see BT winning the EFL rights plus exclusive SPL when the Scottish football deal is up for renewal. Things could get rough for SKY. Not necessarily good for the customer though. Won't be long until BT Sport is as expensive as SKY Sports at this rate.
