Mate you have no idea. There’s a whole world of this I’m not allowed to talk about at the moment (not in the way our favourite forum troll “can’t tell you about it”, but because it’s a family court issue) but once all this is done I will have one hell of a story to tell.

Stay strong Russ. <<<hugs>>>

You are a great Dad and the only person who matters in the long run knows how much you love and miss them. The truth of what has been done will come out sooner or later and it will be the person who has kept you both apart that will have to face up to what she has done.

Daughter got burgled yesterday evening, broke a window round the back and got away with all her jewelry including her wedding & engagement rings and one she inherited from my mother. After the police left we started cleaning up and found they also taken the vacuum cleaner!!

So late night for us and just what you need before an early start to travel from West Yorkshire to Llandudno to help my elderly aunty make funeral arrangements for my uncle who died on Tuesday.

Hope your daughter gets her things back Grim. Having sentimental things stolen is very upsetting even if they are covered by insurance and knowing someone's been in your home is also hard to come to terms with.

I guess by now you are at least on your way to Llandudno but stay safe and I hope your being there for your Auntie helps her at this sad time. <<<hugs>>>

Sorry to hear this - crap when this happens, especially when it’s really personal stuff.

Safe travels.

Sounds grim, wise not to say to much to, especially of she has an account on here.

My sympathies, it's really horrible. We got security cameras and lights after we were burgled twice in a few months, I like the idea that the police will possibly know the horrible scrotes and hopefully take them off the scene. At least you're heading off to a nice part of the welsh coast although not in the best of circumstances. ;)

TfL are a joke

My nephew and friends went into London yesterday, they got on the central line to get to Epping.

But thanks to the tube strike, they were dumped at Leytonstone. So had to set the satnav to find it.

Then I found it was in the expensive ULEZ, luckily my car is the latest and no charge.

Their website is crap and not user-friendly, as its up to you to know if you have to pay and as mentioed their site is crap.

webuyanycar - avoid like the plague!

Selling my old car* (gave it to my son about 18 months ago when I bought the Kodiaq, he gave it back in November when he bought an old Ford Ranger) - I put it up for sale on FB Marketplace and Gumtree, didn’t get much response except for a couple of people offering £2k below asking price.

So, last week I thought I’d try Webuyanycar, carbuyinggroup, and Manheim (part of Autotrader), and got valuations from all of them of around £5.5k (which was what I thought it would fetch) - these valuations were based on all the relevant data (mileage, condition, lots of interior and exterior photos (including any small chips)).

Went to webuyanycar on Tuesday to let them review the car, and they offered £3,871; carbuyinggroup came to the house yesterday, and offered £5,200; Manheim came this afternoon, and offered £5,421 - I accepted this offer, money’s now in the bank.

Looking at reviews of Webuyanycar, apparently 96% of survey respondents said they were offered less than the original amount.

Terrible thing to happen, All your personal things gone , They are the lowest of the low, I just wish they could catch these monsters and severely punish them. My thoughts go out to all of you at this sad time, too,

Thank you, the kind words are appreciated. Was back there yesterday and think we've got most of the immediate stuff sorted.

Mr T had yet another nocturnal seizure this am at 5.53am, called ambulance which arrived within 10 minutes, he is OK now but we are back to his no driving state until further notice. Thank heaven for wonderful neighbours all around who are willing to drive us from a to b when necessary.
