Ok so what the charge costs doesn't matter, off grid . More interested in how often I would need to do it . And if I need to go unexpectedly would it be good, my other car does gallons to the mile not the other way round. So use many to go to Oxford , France etc. just for a guide my little car gets a full tank twice a year. Coming up to 3 years old , done just under 1500 miles . So looking to trade in. Yes I know !!!! so something like £5,000 more than a petrol to buy , would save £90 per year in fuel costs , dearer insurance ( I have checked) add charging point say £500 not looking worth bothering with

At that sort of mileage why are you bothering to trade it in? It’ll last forever and cost you nothing.

No real defendable reason . Get fed up with the colour :erm: can't be bothered to have it m.o.ted love getting the salesman in flap. Have money to burn 🔥 the last time l did it cost me £2000 guess there weren't many low mileage 2nd hand cars around . The car before required 4 new tyres, old age not worn out

An 11 plate Fiesta for my daughter as she only took a two year course where her brother took three so he had an extra year's support. The car and a year's insurance is close to the same value.

A service, MOT test and accessory belt change for my car. £540. Only 668 miles done in the past year.

They wanted £228 to regas the A/C which I never use.

Can you let us know your thoughts on it after using it, please - I’m thinking of getting one.

Strange how doing/buying one thing leads to a cascade effect…

SWMBO convinced me we should have the hall, landing, stairs, and upstairs office re-decorated (new wallpaper with appropriate paint shades, all woodwork painted) - this led on to new carpets (apparently to "help brighten up the area and match the new decor better"), and we might as well replace the furniture in the upstairs office and hall as well, so ordered new solid oak desk, two drawer filing cabinet, three drawer cabinet for the office and a bureau for the hall…

Now, apparently, this makes the lounge look "faded", so we "need" to replace the lounge carpet and our 2 and 3 seat sofas with new lighter (colour) carpets and a 2 and 3 seater electric recliner sofas from Parker Knoll she’s been keen on since she saw them at her brother’s…

I have a funny feeling about your wife and my wife went to the same school of home improvement…….

New trainers for holiday
Airport hotel for the night before we fly
All the internal doors are being changed to solid oak

Oh and a t shirt that says ‘I’m just here to pay for everything’ which will be worn at the airport and on the flight
