Any one of these sides given the luck could win the trophy and lets hope that Chelsea have that luck but if not l hope one of the Madrid sides win it.

I agree on Friday Night games though.

I just mean it's about time they moved games that involve clubs playing in Europe. We're used to playing Saturday then Tuesday and Sunday then Wednesday, but playing on a Friday just gives the teams an extra day to recover. I'd even go for games on a Thursday or Friday the week before as long as nobodies due to play that week. We just need a bit of flexibility when it comes to our fixture lists and European games. PSG played on the Friday before their home leg on the Wednesday and others have done the same this season as well. 8 days notice is a joke as well. That's how they treat the fan when TV has picked the games though. As I said, a lot of travel costs will have changed dramatically as well. Shafted.

I heard mr Tann saying the other day that he thought team details had been leaked and assumed it was just the rantings of a mad man barking at the moon but now we gear someones been sacked and another suspended over it.

Not really if the norm is for Wenger to be able to convert players. The journos may see the guy as a support striker type and instead of putting him down as an AM they put him down as a striker. That said they may just be trying to stir up a bit of crap. Any Arsenal fan reading Verratti as Arsenals next striker will blow their top. Can you find a link to the piece? I'm intrigued now.
I don't know why he doesn't sign the required players.

Hardly surprising considering the dysfunctional state it was in at one point not soo long ago. Still person(s) that done that if found guilty are ****. How that would help the cause from whatever stand point apart from pure hate for the club is beyond me.

The guardian and mirror have changed their stories so he's a midfielder now but they couldn't erase all traces of their incompetence

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between courtois predicament and mascerano's all those years ago that got the hammers a thirty million pound fine, the only difference I can see is that Chelsea have direct influence over a player to stop him playing against them, worse imo than mascerano and tevez.

I don't know whether there's truth in this or it's a publicity stunt by United to light a fire under Moyes but if LVG did take over I'd have a bit more confidence in his abilities. He's had success at the top with big teams and is also a fan of the United's "slow start" to the season as opposed to Moyes' "slow start, middle and end" tactic. He might even get another good season out of RVP.

Pep for United! give the bloke something to do that's not walking into a ready made super-club. Then we can call him Andre Villas-Guardiola

I think if SAF had left a younger squad with possibly a few big names being brought in then Pep may well have taken over instead of Moyes.

Because Mascherano was not owned solely by the club, he was owned in part by a third party. Chelsea loaned Courtois out because he was never going to get Cech out of the number 1 spot. Hence why they are now worried about him playing against them in Europe. Personally, if it is like the Lua Lua situation a while ago (where Newcastle failed to put a clause in saying he could not play against them, he did and scored the winning goal) then Chelsea have no right to demand money for Courtois to play against them. They messed the loan agreement up, so they must pay the consequences.

That would go against the constant diatribe that Man Utd supporters use, about being a club that gave managers a chance. Oh..yes..that is right..more BS :D

But then if they all agreed to the supposed clause in his loan contract, they have every right to what was agreed. If the boot had been on the other foot, and it was chelsea that released info from an agreed contract, they'd be getting slated by everyone. Whereas they didn't release it, the Atletico bloke did, and they are getting slated by everyone. He was always going to play if the situation arose, and as I posted yesterday if there's any future deal for Costa to Chelsea, or for Courtois going back there on loan, it'll all sort itself out no matter what the UEFA rules are. Neither of the clubs are going to fall out over it as they both want things from each other

That would be great for Man Utd.

I want to know how UEFAs new ruling voids the agreement taken place way before this new rule was put in place whereas Barca are going to be allowed to complete transfers done, well partly signed prior to the transfer ban being applied. wtf is going on!

The ban would probably be suspended when they appeal until after the verdict. Then if they lose that they'll go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, and it'll probably be suspended again. I've always thought that there's a rule deep deep down in the sub-sections of the small print of the UEFA rules which gives Barca a helping hand whatever happens.

There was talk that transfers already agreed would go through regardless of an appeal.
