Very true.

So are you saying that they are due to launch but will most likely be delayed? :erm:

If so, can I have next weeks lottery results?

But seeings as you did......

I predict new channels will launch at some stage in the future too, much like SA apparently will. I don't know when they will launch either (like SA), but when they will come I will be able to say I was right too.

Its bone fide information too, I have done my research which I don't need to share.

:D Indeed

You know what I think, and we know what you think. Let's leave it at that and we'll see who's right soon enough.

I'm big enough to ignore the inevitable it will it won't merry go round if you are? I was actually genuinely interested in knowing how you've got to your conclusions. They don't match my own, you're right. I don't think that Atlantic will come to Virgin. A poster here who was very confident on the basis of insider information is now less confident. You're confident on the basis of no insider information and I really would be interested to know why. Either way, like you say, Autumn's nearly done.

With each passing month we come a little closer to getting the missing SKY channels, we're also in exactly the same position as we have always been - they're not here and may never appear.

Nobody knows and 10 mins after the announcement happens that they have finally arrived (if they finally arrive) nobody will give a rats backside about this discussion.

Next......

You didn't see the irony of your post?

The person who was (adamantly) telling us exactly what is coming soon, is now actually asking what is coming soon!

All I'm seeing over the weekend is people saying the missing sky channels are coming but offering no proof again? Is that all I've missed?

Pretty much. I still love the speculation on here, although this not really speculation currently. Still it is better than nothing!

SA is still a challenge apparently as the price Sky want does not make commercial sense for VM.

Is that based on new information?

Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 6.

I called SKY yesterday to discuss cancelling my contract, in view of joining Virgin, due to my 50% off deal coming to an end. As posted yesterday they've agreed to give me another 50% off for a further 12 months if I call on 14th December. However I received this e-mail from them this morning:

So I called them to ask what is going on. I explained my conversation from yesterday and what was agreed. Problem solved however the woman in the cancellation team wanted to know if I was happy with the SKY service in general or was I originally looking to cancel due to my 50% off deal expiring. I told her about Virgin being half price for 6 months with £100.00 cash back, Netflix free for 6 months and BT Sports included at no extra cost. I also threw in that SKY Atlantic is reportedly coming soon to Virgin. The person I was speaking too gave out a slight snigger and told me they hear this stuff day in day out. She advised it's simply not true. SKY Atlantic is not coming to Virgin, is not coming to BT and is not coming to Talk Talk.

Of course this could just be sales chat but she seemed pretty sure about what she was saying.

And of course she would say that working for Sky.

This is exactly how I felt when speaking to them. They basically said "Sky Atlantic will remain exclusive forever" (or until the HBO deal falls and they have no content).

Unfortunately with this and just the level of service and the welcome I've received (including an invite to the beta testing programme) I cannot fault sky yet. I'm sure we will see once it's installed but Sky Go, the Sports and Movies app. The remote record app. Everything I've seen so far unfortunately one-ups Virgin. It's could be a push for VM to bring me back in 12 months.

I suppose it's no different to when a Virgin rep says it is coming and people queue up on here to say they couldn't possibly know. She might have sounded confident, but she certainly can't have been sure unless all customer service agents have been briefed that this is the case, in which case we'd all know.

Yeah but she didn't have to say it, I'd already agreed not to cancel my subscription at that point. I would understand her bending the truth to convince me to stay if I'd waded into the call with that line. I pretty much threw SKY Atlantic at her as an after thought towards the end of the conversation.

She seemed pretty genuine however I'll happily change my opinion if someone can post some kind of proof that SKY Atlantic is actually coming. Until then how can I not believe what she just told me?

I had similar tactics i was told movies come on sky 12 months before Netflix , i pointed out not if you use a vpn they don't. They were still in denial and saying every movie comes on sky 12 months before Netflix. So merely mentioned Hansel and gretel witch hunters , hunger games , the hobbit a unexpected journey. They looked rather sheepish lol.
They say anything to gain/keep a customer it's the same with any company tbf.
