Update – New release for 1TB & DRX890

The initial rollout will be slow while we monitor results closely, and the full rollout to all 1TB*and DRX890 boxes is expected to take a few months due to the large population. There will also be some fixes incorporated, plus other stability improvements, so you could be amongst the very first to receive these.

If you wish to take up this option, we will need you to send a*private message*to Sky+Forum+Team with the title New**Release and include your e-mail address, 9 digit card Number & the 6 digit version number from the System Details screen by noon on Wednesday 04/04/12. We will then perform an over the air download to these boxes, probably on or around Wednesday 11th April.

24 BBC Olympic channels on Sky

Alongside coverage on the existing BBC channels, Sky homes will be able to enjoy 2,500 hours’ worth of live BBC coverage throughout the Games.
What’s more, because Sky homes will be able to view the channels via the Sky EPG, Sky+ homes will be able to record the coverage to watch at a time that suits them so that they can record every one of their favourite events and not miss any of the action.

Nope and the beauty with Sky they are channels on the EPG meaning you can record them.

Ive not read up on the app but generally I'd always prefer a channel , usually better PQ and the ability to record is indeed a plus.

I think alot of people are saying it cant record and they are disappointed that they are not getting the 24 HD channels that Sky are getting

Yeah, I'd much prefer to have the channels and be able to record things to watch back at a more convenient time.
