Haven't read the first, but read all the books in second's Polity series - excellent books, very easy to read, but hard to put down.

The Gathering Storm Part one of three for the final book in the Wheel of Time series, Memory of Light. Ghost written by Brandon Sanderson based on the notes and details left by Robert Jordan. Seems to flow along a little easier than previous books but with less edge.

Me too. Read all of series always look forward to the new ones.
