Hull City season card holders have narrowly voted in favour of owner Assem Allam's plan to change the Premier League club's name to Hull Tigers.

I dont see what the problem is, It shouldn't even need a vote. If the owners want to change the name of the club let them.

Arsenal, Everton, Man Utd, West Brom, Sunderland, Leeds, Fulham and many more have all changed their names in the past. Why can't it happen now? And they're known as "Hull" which won't be changing, its really not that big a deal.

The fans should probably have a say although, let's face it, that's being quite naive in the face of the business these clubs are. I don't know about all the instances of the above teams apart from Arsenal whose lack of fans had caused them to move from Woolwich causing the name change, and that was not that long after they were formed. Changing it now to 'London Arsenal' or something would cause more aggro.

I would be more sympathetic if the owner wanted to change the name completely and take away "Hull". Hes basically putting their nickname into the club name. Is it really that bad? The owners have spent money and got them into the premier league and looks like they will be staying there, things could be a lot worse for the fans, just look at some of the other owners of clubs in England.

Exactly, look at Portsmouth and what happened to them after Mandaric left the club.

They're not the owners of a club they're it's custodians, it was there before he was born and it'll be there after he's gone, you don't toss away hundreds of years of history just because you've had an argument with the council imo.

Sherwood was always a stop gap for Spurs. I think the Gall situation is all sorted, unless something drastic happens.

Sherwood is NOT management material, he needs more experience under his belt. It wouldn't surprise me if Levy, and remember one thing joe Louis who says who goes. He runs the club and tells Levy what to do. That Sherwood will work with Gaal for next season.

As for Wenger, he has had his day at Arsenal. They need new blood.
