Just seen it on the news, apparently it was a friends and family offer for a South African wine company but Threshers are honouring it even though the voucher has been downloaded 800 000 times ;)

How annoying, just shows how much the mark up is, or how much other stuff we buy when we go in for a bottle of wine

Despite the size of the discount, he still expected that Threshers would make a profit on the offer.

It amazes me how much booze people buy at Christmas..I'd never manage to down more than a couple of drinks at lunchtime and in the evening.:erm:

Apparently Threashers are doing a buy 2 get 3rd free so you get 33% off with that anyway, and most of their stuff is much cheaper in the supermakets, so there's the possibility that this was a bit of viral marketting.

I shall (try to) be a good girl and resist... there's still a cupboard full of booze from over-shopping last Christmas and for future parents-in-laws 25th wedding anniversary party during the summer! lol. :angel:
