Re: Virgin Media 70, 150 & 200 Mb Upgrades
Just rang CS. They upgraded me to 200Mb. I'm getting 207Mb. Good.
The operative also told me, unrequested, that I will be getting SH3 in February 2016 and that it has a lot more features than SH2 and is 'more powerful'. |

I proceeded to ask her if the new kit had anything to do with the Hot spot development. She said not, but that I am already opted in to the Hot spot arrangement and that I can already download the new mobile app from Play Store. This appears to be premature, so perhaps I should ignore the rest of what she told me. |

I dont know why they like to waffle. I was told we would have 4G in 2014, still waiting

However I also imagine that the man may pursue the tier that that CPE is appropriate for when it becomes available. |

Yeah the phone monkies know next to nothing. They are not briefed on anything like new equipment until just before it's released and occasionally just after.

Re: Virgin Media 70, 150 & 200 Mb Upgrades
Rang retentions yesterday with a view to going down one tier from XL broadband, and getting the speed upgrade later on. To my complete surprise the rep I spoke to asked me to stay on the same package, and if I did I could have the movies package and the speed upgrade to 200mg, all for the same price. Of course I accepted this really good deal. Just shows that if you are nice to the reps on the phone and don't go on the bounce you can really do well. Up and running an hour later with speedtest.net showing 210mg speed. New contract of course, but not really bothered about that. All in all a good result.

The tosh we get from CS from time to time really reflects a training issue. They should either be kept informed of recent and pending developments, or be instructed to stick to their main job and remain silent. |
