What a total waste of time, money and effort. I really cannot understand this obsession with the Olympic flame. I'm sure that most people have a box of matches in reserve :)

One plane apparently chasing another over Loch Lomond this morning ...

... until a second shot at full zoom illustrates the vertical separation by capturing the shadow of the second plane on the contrail of the first:

Bags of silica used to keep the engines dry were not removed for a start-up so two sandblasted engines :(

As some of you know the company I work for helped get this plane in the air, and I have some photos & a video to post (I think from it maiden flight), the video is to big to upload hear so I'll look at other options.

I'll try and post over the long weekend.

Just had the lancaster transiting over Ipswitch heading for the Thames estuary, probably where the hold is for the queens jubilee flypast

Some pics from work (C130), for size the Main Wheels are about 5ft high, take 20 mins to fill with nitrogen

Nice to see the BOBMF DC3 leading the flypast today. It tends to get over shadowed by the Spitfire/Hurricanes/Lancaster.

Fantastic in-plane footage from the Lancaster and also one of the spitfires during the Jubilee Flypast

16 Spitfires flying together. Turn the volume up and get the hairs sticking up on the back of your neck.
