I support Chelsea and even I don't see Utd not winning the Premiership this season. I think Liverpool will finish 3rd or 4th.

I think that, as the table stands now, that'll be the finishing positions.

Look, I'm a Villa fan - allow me my dream :D

Well if you can keep Arsenal outside the top 4 then there will be a lot of happy people on this forum :)

Firepower, take away Gerrard and a fit Torres and whats left, sweet FA.:p:

Take away two key players at united, lets say ronaldo and rooney, whats left?

United are on 39 goals for aided by 5 goals against 10 men last night, Liverpool are on 36 goals for.

United are on 10 against, Liverpool are on 14.

Interestingly, Aston Villa are on 38 goals for, does that mean Villa have a firepower almost equal to that of United?

But surely with those " surplus players " united should be going for around the 50 goal mark this time of the season?

Considering that Liverpool according to one poster have sweet fa firepower I would be scratching my head were I a United supporter given the thin line in goals for between the two teams, and even Villa are on 38 goals.

I reckon judgement day could come at Old trafford when we take on United, how sweet that would be.

Ronaldo, Berbatov and Rooney are finding form at the business end of the season... and what about their defensive record despite so many key injuries. IMHO United will move up a gear and win the league comfortably.

Every season we get an 'unfashionable' side hovering near the top of the league, surpassing everyone's expectations. But when it comes to consistency, by May they always slip up. Sorry Nugg but that's Villa this year.

Take Torres away from Liverpool and you don't really have any players known for knocking them in on a regular basis.

Berbatov has taken time to find his feet but it seems like he's now in gear, Ronnie has been quiet, Rooney has been on form and Tevez, when making the team has been ok as well.

So on the basis alone that United's front line haven't been reaching their potential this year, yet we are top of the league by 3 points, doesn't that say we have enough players to do the job?

As for Liverpool at Old Trafford, seriously, dream on.

Berbatov - New to the team, i think he's still scored more than Keane has for Liverpool.

Ronaldo - Injured at the begining of the season and found it hard to recover from that.

Tevez - Only played a handful of games

Rooney - Has been on form for a lot of the season, but has never been a prolific goalscorer.

Takeaway Gerrard from Liverpool and they will be in big trouble, he scores a large amount of goals for them and sets up the majority of the rest.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter how many goals you score, it's how many points you have that counts. Liverpool have choked numerous times this season already and only managed to draw games that they should be winning (Everton last week is a prime example), it's only January and the managers cracking up, i can't see Liverpool finishing in the top two this season.

As for winning against us at OT, whens the last time you lot scored there, let alone won? ;)

To be honest Russ, you're right - having said that, I'm not convinced that Villa, with a couple of good signings, can't keep it up, and at least be in the reckoning for the top 4 in May. We're 11 unbeaten now, which isn't a bad run :)

Only one Liverpool player in the list of top goal scorers this season, three from United. :p:

http://www.4thegame.com/football-sta...ip/topscorers/

Even Vidic is as prolific as most of Liverpool's, 'awesome fire power' ;)

When you consider that everyone agrees that United have not been at their scintillating best, its still better than the Scousers.:D
Jim.

A stunning display of 'firepower' from the Scousers tonight.:D

Torres & Gerrard both subbed.

Arsenal scraped a late, undeserved draw as well.

It seems since rafa beneathus had his little 'loss of temper' Liverpool have been poor , even at Anfailed the results are not going for them, on the Manchester side though , i have never seen United with a SQUAD with such depth and quality , there is another amazing set of youngsters ready to break through to join the more experienced players.

I guess it just goes to show you don't try mind games against the master of mind games.

Good win by MCFC tonight, debut goal by Bellamy...

Was really comical though watching Barton have a hissy-fit whilst going off through his injury...I'm sure the wall is now totally scared of his boot throwing skills...
