Re: Cricket

After his recent performances i don't think he had any other option. It was either he resigned or was just dropped from the team meaning he lost the captaincy anyway. Collingwood also resigned as one-day captain, so it will be intresting to see who they pick as captain for both test and one dayers or one for each form of the game as they had been doing.

Re: Cricket

A century on his debut as England Captain not bad eh?

Ironically the third South African born player to do so for England too!

Sad news.....

Cricket lost one of its most distinctive characters on Friday when Bill Frindall, the Test Match Special scorer known as 'the Bearded Wonder', died from Legionnaire's Disease. Frindall, who had held the post since 1966, was 69.

What a complete and utter shambles, the Windies should be made to forfeit the match, our best chance of winning after all.

I wonder if the Aussies have stopped laughing yet.

Now they have to beat Pakistan, the runners-up of the first World Twenty20, at the Oval tomorrow or they face building exactly the wrong kind of Ashes momentum.

Re: Cricket

Looks like England could win the Twenty/20 match against South Africa by the duckworth lewis method.

England made 202-6
South Africa are on 127-3 when it started chucking it down and rain stoped play, they needed to be on 128-3 :p:

Get them rain dances going :D
