I need to put brakes on spending.

So far this year I've spent £2,155.11 on Amazon, compared to £1,806.29 last year.

The main reason is shops don't sell some of the stuff I want (Maplin would have been a perfect place but they didn't sell it.)

Just bought Assassins Creed Origins Deluxe and God of War all for the price of £32.15 using the 2 day plus trick and the 10% discount code from the Indonesian play store!

Technically, if i took the stand off, no reason it wouldn't be... it wouldn't work afterwards however (or ever again)

Very nice. I haven't been able to get out much to use mine, and tend to use the RX100v lately. But when I do use the DSLR I use the 50mm prime more than any of my other lenses. The zoom on the 300mm is fun but lacks quality at the top end. If you do get the 300mm then get a good tripod, don't rely on the VR too much. (And disable VR when you do use a tripod).

no, it was just to clarify why I would have an office-type chair at home - having a room to do work in, with a suitable desk and chair, beats working at a dining table (if you have the option).

I’ve worked from hope (off and on) since 2000, when I joined BT Cellnet (as was), and they encouraged working from home, and even supplied a desk, chair, footrest, and sundry IT equipment.

My second lens for my Nikon D5600, a Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 lens, I only paid £40 as I used my £100 christmas bonus from work.

Re: What have you just bought?

Well I wanted to buy the Nikon 70-300mm lens, but they didn't have it in stock.

So I bought the Tamron 18-400mmf/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD, for £650.

Because it is fitted to a DX body it has an ultra-telephoto range equivalent to 620mm in the 35mm format.

Now waiting for a clear night 18th to 20th to catch the full moon.

I have the tripod, and will remebr to turn off VC/VR.

Looking forward to seeing what it can do, should be good for wildlife too. When you settle for what type of photography you enjoy the most. Then you'll find your favourite lens. I would keep the 50mm Prime over all others.
